She was raped several times and then strangled to death. I just can’t understand how can someone be so brutal. These low lives don’t deserve to be born. I don’t even have words for such psychopaths!

I should be revising, because I have an exam tomorrow, but I really wanted to write about something I’ve seen going round on social media- the Justice For Zainab hashtag. This 7 year old girl was raped and then killed in Kasur (in North-West Pakistan). She was on her way to a Qur’an recital/class when […]

I’m sorry to hear that it’s given you so much pain, but you raising awareness of the situation and blogging about it is a great thing, and I hope as a result of all the protests and social media attention surrounding this sad situation the govt will change its laws 😦

    May we discover

There is a philosopher named Baruch de Spinoza. He was a pacifist. His belief was the following: that when a member of society transgresses, we bring the person to justice — BUT not full of moral outrage, indignation, horror, disgust, and blind desire for revenge. No. We get rid of this pest from a sense of reason. I know that’s hard for 90 percent of humans, but it is the rationalist’s way, which is my way. Sorry if my viewpoint jars with your Oprah Winfrey moment.

Not at all. The spark of fire is for my own personal reflection to learn from what I see and to try to always make better choices for the good of all.

  11. How sad that all we can do is to communicate in posts after the fact. Humankind is quite disgusting and deplorable at times, and it pains me that we can’t protect the innocent.

  17. This is an horrendous account of human depravity and these acts go on all the time. Something has to be done to prevent further acts such as these. When the justice system fails to act promptly and in all cases, then I’m afraid to say that they are just as guilty and women and girls will always suffer like this. Someone must know who the perpetrators are.
