Yielded

It was a beautiful hill top. The clouds were hovering around the hut. He opened the wooden door and slammed it shut at once!

“Where are you?” he shouted

“I was in the kitchen prep…” he cut her off and said, “go bring water for me”

She fetched him a glass of water and asked him if he wanted dinner

“I ate at a friend’s place”, he muttered and went to bed

She rushed towards the kitchen and turned off the stove. Tears came rolling down her flushed round cheeks. She picked up her baby, looked him in the eye and said,

“You shackled me to the man I once loved”

A very sad perception, probably too common a situation in our world. Touchingly done.

Very beautifully expressed. Sadly enough, this happens more than we’d like to accept.
